Summary

The main focuses of an Architectural Millwork Drafter are interpreting architectural plans, blueprints, sketches, and/or other drawings in order to produce detailed shop drawings for custom millwork and casework. Shop drawings will include necessary manufacturing standards while meeting necessary design intent.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create detailed shop drawings and construction documents for custom millwork and casework using AutoCAD, Microvellum, and Innergy software.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure design intent and project goals are met.
  • Communicate with project managers to ensure necessary RFIs are being submitted
  • Ensure project schedules, deadlines, and budgets are met.
  • Revise project drawings with final dimensions and additional details for production.
  • Communicate with the manufacturing team to ensure that production requirements are clearly understood.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the companys drafting standards.
  • And other duties / responsibilities as assigned based on the needs of the company

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Four (4) year degree from college or technical school; four (4) to ten (10) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD & Microvellum is a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience in architectural millwork drafting
