Our client is hiring an Estimator who can do more than put numbers to plans — we're looking for someone who can help us win work and build strong relationships in the process.
This role is focused on estimating, bid strategy, and relationship-building, with light involvement in preconstruction to ensure a clean transition to the field.

What You'll Own
1. Estimating & Bid Strategy
- Perform quantity takeoffs (earthwork, utilities, site development)
- Build accurate and competitive estimates using HCSS HeavyBid (or similar)
- Analyze plans/specs to identify risk, gaps, and cost drivers
- Develop a clear bid strategy — not just pricing, but positioning to win
2. Business Development (Relationship-Based)
- Build and maintain relationships with GCs, owners, and key clients
- Follow up on bids and stay engaged throughout the award process
- Help identify and pursue target customers and projects
- Represent Brex as a reliable, solutions-oriented partner
3. Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination
- Solicit and level quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
- Build relationships to improve pricing and responsiveness
- Ensure complete scope coverage before bid submission
4. Project Handoff Support (Light Precon)
- Prepare a baseline schedule and job assumptions for awarded work
- Support field teams with change order pricing and scope clarification
- Assist in setting projects up for success — without owning full project management

Qualifications
- Experience in civil construction estimating (earthwork, utilities, site development preferred)
- Ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs
- Experience with estimating software (HCSS HeavyBid preferred)
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specs, and scopes
- Familiarity with local market pricing and subcontractors is a plus
