Job Description:
Interim QA / Test Automation Engineer (Playwright + Postman + Azure DevOps)

- Build UI test automation with Playwright (TypeScript preferred)
- Create and maintain Postman collections and set up automated API tests
- Define a pragmatic test strategy with the team (UI vs API vs integration vs other)
- Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps Pipelines (CI/CD)
- Implement the first end-to-end / regression flows and establish patterns, reporting, and maintainability practices
- Collaborate closely with developers and product to identify critical coverage
Must-haves
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for UI automation (TypeScript preferred)
- Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Postman collections for automated API testing
- Ability to design and implement a test automation architecture / framework in an environment with low existing QA maturity
- Experience integrating automated tests into Azure DevOps Pipelines
- Strong collaboration skills with developers to determine test coverage strategy
- Fluent English (international team)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in microservices-heavy environments
- Experience with API observability/logging and test data validation (e.g., SQL, messaging)
- Experience coaching developers on test automation practices
Practical details
- Start: ASAP (target around 1 February; later start possible for a top candidate)
- Duration: ~3 months initial focus to get the foundation up and running (extension possible depending on progress/needs)
- Availability: preferably at least 2 days/week, more is better
