Role: Senior Data Scientist

Location: Hybrid, Lisbon, Portugal

Required skills:

Degree or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field
Proven experience in developing Generative AI (GenAI) solutions, including the use of transformers, embeddings, and prompt engineering
Strong expertise in traditional Machine Learning techniques (supervised and unsupervised learning)
Proficiency in Python and libraries such as NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn
Experience with PySpark and large-scale data manipulation
Practical knowledge of MLOps practices: model versioning, experiment tracking (e.g., MLflow), deployment, and monitoring
Experience working in cloud environments, particularly:

• Azure (e.g., Azure Machine Learning, Data Factory)

• GCP (e.g., Vertex AI, BigQuery)

• AWS (e.g., SageMaker, S3)
  Fluency in English and Portuguese

Tasks:

Participate in the design and development of Generative AI solutions, including transformer-based models, embeddings, and LLM pipelines
Build and optimize Machine Learning models for various use cases (classification, regression, clustering, etc.)
Explore, prepare, and transform data, applying best practices in feature engineering to improve model performance
Contribute to the automation and reproducibility of data science pipelines using MLOps tools, ensuring continuous monitoring and maintenance in production
Communicate analytical results clearly, emphasizing business impact and applicability
Stay up to date with the latest trends and tools in AI, ML, and cloud ecosystems
