Messaging and Streaming Administrator

Role: Messaging & Streaming Engineer 
Location:  Lisbon or Porto  (Hybrid)

Required skills:

• Proven experience with Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ in production environments
• Strong knowledge of AMQP, topics, queues, partitions, offsets, and delivery guarantees
• Experience operating and administering messaging and streaming platforms
• Experience with automation and DataOps (Ansible, Terraform, Python and/or Bash)

• Experience integrating messaging systems with data pipelines

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with ingestion tools such as Debezium or Apache NiFi (valued)
• Experience with cluster management: deployments, scalability, tuning, and monitoring

• Experience supporting data pipelines and workloads in Apache Spark

• Strong troubleshooting skills in distributed and critical systems

• Experience implementing security, governance, and observability practices
• Ability to produce and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures

• Mandatory certification in Messaging Administration
