SENIOR DATA PLATFORM DEVOPS ENGINEER

Role: DevOps Engineer (IaC & Data Platform)

Location: Portugal (Remote)

Required skills:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform (AWS provider) and Ansible
• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure), including services such as EKS, EC2, S3, and IAM
• Experience maintaining and evolving infrastructure modules for provisioning and configuration of platforms
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration with Git-based repositories (Git, GitLab)
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, VSCode (or similar)
• Strong knowledge of Linux environments, including SSH and command line usage
• Experience applying security best practices in infrastructure (IAM/RBAC, least privilege, logging and auditing)
• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices, including secure code development and API security
• Experience with centralized monitoring and security tools (e.g., Splunk)
• Familiarity with data platform components such as Kafka, Airflow, NiFi, Hive or similar (as user or IaC maintainer)
• Experience writing and maintaining scripts (Bash, Python or Go) for automation
• Ability to work with autonomy and align with corporate standards and security policies
• Fluency in Portuguese and English
