Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and grow direct relationships with international buyers and end-users, including utilities and industrial clients.
- Independently execute coal sales and purchase transactions, including negotiation of terms, pricing strategies, and delivery arrangements.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify trading opportunities, monitor supply-demand dynamics, and anticipate price movements.
- Ensure smooth end-to-end trading operations, including drafting and reviewing contracts, coordinating shipments, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (logistics, finance, and operations) to deliver accurate and timely execution of trade deals.
- Provide market insights and contribute to the development of trading strategies to maximize profitability.
- Build and maintain strong long-term client partnerships through excellent service and after-sales support.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, International Trade, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in coal trading or a related role (sales, sourcing, business development in the coal/energy sector).
- Established buyer or end-user network, preferably with exposure to clients in Korea, Japan, or other key markets.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills with a proven ability to close deals.
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English; proficiency in Japanese or Korean is a strong advantage.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic trading environment.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
