About the job Head of Operations
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Operations to lead and optimize retail operations across different locations within the retail sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store day-to-day functions, including staff management, financial performance, inventory control, and customer satisfaction. This role is critical in ensuring operational excellence and supporting growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability across all retail locations.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for operational improvements and expansion.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations of all stores, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to company standards.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each store and provide regular performance reports to senior management.
- Implement and manage effective inventory control systems to minimize losses and ensure product availability.
- Ensure all stores comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Store Managers and operational staff.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Conduct performance reviews and manage succession planning for key operational roles.
- Financial & Budget Management:
- Manage and control operational budgets for all retail locations, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Oversee financial reporting, including sales analysis, P&L statements, and expense tracking.
- Customer Experience:
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance the overall customer experience, including service standards and in-store atmosphere.
- Address and resolve complex customer issues escalated from store level.
- Logistics & Supply Chain:
- Collaborate with the supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely and efficient product delivery to all stores.
- Optimize in-store logistics and visual merchandising to maximize sales and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in retail operations, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role managing multiple retail locations.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving business growth targets.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent financial acumen with experience in budget management and P&L analysis.
- Solid understanding of retail management systems, including POS, inventory, and reporting software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
