Overview:
The Metallurgical Engineer Manager will be responsible for overseeing the metallurgical aspects of both ongoing and new gold processing plant projects. This role ensures the implementation of efficient metallurgical processes, with a strong focus on heap leach operations, while maintaining compliance with industry standards and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize, and implement metallurgical process designs for gold recovery, including heap leach operations.
- Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and operational performance of metallurgical systems.
- Ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met while optimizing process efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a team of metallurgical engineers and technicians, ensuring high performance and technical excellence.
- Monitor ongoing projects, troubleshoot metallurgical issues, and propose improvements for process optimization.
- Actively participate in the planning and execution of new gold processing projects.
- Collaborate with contractors, project teams, and key stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of metallurgical processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry regulations related to gold processing and heap leach operations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in metallurgical engineering, particularly in gold processing plant construction and operations.
- Proven expertise in heap leach processes, including design, operation, and optimization.
- Strong knowledge of metallurgical systems, plant commissioning, and process optimization.
- Project management experience, including overseeing construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills to guide engineers and technicians effectively.
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations in metallurgical and gold processing operations.
