Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic finance leader to take on a senior role within their organization. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, costing, cash flow management, and cost reduction initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial principles within a manufacturing environment, particularly within the electronics sector, and have a proven track record of driving financial performance and mitigating financial risks. This role will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to provide financial insights and guidance to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will collaborate with the CEO to establish budgeting targets for all departments and ensure adherence to departmental KPI targets.
  • This individual will partner with the Sales Department on all projects prior to RFQ submission to review and approve costings before quotations are finalized. They will also actively participate in Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) projects with the Sales Department to identify and implement cost reductions.
  • The role involves developing and maintaining robust cash flow projections that incorporate all project cash inflows and supplier cash outflows. This individual will analyze potential cash flow challenges proactively and propose solutions to optimize the company's cash flow position.
  • Working closely with the CEO and HRD, the Senior Finance Manager/Director/CFO will establish and drive internal cost reduction initiatives with clear targets for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and Selling, General, and Administrative Expenses (SGA). This will be a key performance indicator for this position.
  • This individual will proactively anticipate future currency fluctuations, particularly between USD and IDR, and work closely with banks to implement hedging strategies or other methods to minimize potential losses due to exchange rate differences. They will also develop and propose strategies to the CEO to improve the company's exposure to exchange rate risks.
  • The role will require providing insightful financial analysis and reporting to senior management.
  • This individual will ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Depending on the specific title, this position may involve building and leading a high-performing finance team.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification 1 (e.g., CPA, CMA) is highly preferred. 
  • The ideal candidate will possess at least 15 years of progressive experience in finance roles within a manufacturing environment, with significant experience in the electronics industry being a strong advantage.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, costing, and cash flow management is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying and implementing cost reduction initiatives is required.
  • A strong understanding of foreign exchange risk management and hedging strategies is necessary.
  • The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are crucial for this role.
  • The ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership is required.
  • Proficiency in relevant financial software and ERP systems is expected.
