About the job Sales Director - Food (FMCG)
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Director Consumer to lead our client's commercial strategy and execution within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. This role is instrumental in driving sales performance, expanding market share, and strengthening partnerships across all consumer channels modern trade, general trade, and e-commerce.
This is a high-impact leadership role that requires strong business acumen, team leadership, and deep market knowledge, particularly within the food and beverage industry. You will work closely with executive leadership to deliver revenue growth, operational efficiency, and sustained brand presence in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute an end-to-end sales strategy across all key channels to meet revenue, distribution, and market penetration targets.

Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, including regional managers, key account managers, and trade marketing professionals.

Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key modern trade accounts.

Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.

Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure integrated business planning and execution.

Drive commercial excellence through structured processes, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure the team is aligned with brand goals, pricing strategies, and customer service standards.

Provide regular business reporting and insights to senior leadership and contribute to broader strategic planning.
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; an MBA is a plus.

Minimum 15 years of sales experience in the FMCG industry, preferably within the food or beverage sector, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Proven success in managing sales across multiple consumer channels (GT, MT, e-commerce).

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage large commercial teams.

Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.

Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both verbal and written.

Highly analytical and results-driven, with strong commercial and financial acumen.
