Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to support cost planning, procurement, and contract management for our data center projects. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, with proven experience in critical infrastructure sectors such as data centers, hospitals, or industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for MEP works across both CAPEX (capital projects) and OPEX (operational spending).
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and design documents to develop Bills of Quantity (BoQ).
- Collaborate with internal teams (design, engineering, operations) to ensure scope alignment and feasibility.
- Evaluate tender documents and quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
- Conduct cost and price analysis, and support technical and commercial negotiations.
- Assist in the procurement process, from bid comparison to purchase order (PO) issuance, coordinating with legal or contract teams as needed.
- Monitor and manage contract variations (VOs), additional cost claims, and extension of time requests related to MEP works.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with a strong understanding of MEP systems.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor for MEP projects, preferably in data centers or other high-risk/critical infrastructure.
- Knowledge of MEP systems such as HVAC, generators, UPS, fire protection systems, and related equipment.
- Proficiency in cost estimation tools such as AutoCAD, Excel, CostX, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of lifecycle cost analysis, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and budget best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication abilities.
