Position Summary: The Head of Procurement will be a key strategic leader responsible for developing and executing the company's procurement strategy. This role will oversee all aspects of the procurement function, ensuring optimal cost-efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of goods and services critical to our data center operations. The successful candidate will drive best practices in supplier management, negotiation, risk mitigation, and procurement processes, directly contributing to the company's financial performance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives, growth plans, and financial targets.
    • Identify and evaluate strategic sourcing opportunities to achieve cost savings, improve quality, and enhance supplier performance.
    • Lead the development of long-term relationships with key suppliers and partners.
  • Operational Management:

    • Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from vendor selection and negotiation to contract management and performance monitoring.
    • Establish and maintain robust procurement policies, procedures, and systems to ensure transparency, compliance, and efficiency.
    • Manage and optimize inventory levels for critical data center components and consumables.
    • Ensure timely and efficient acquisition of IT hardware, networking equipment, power infrastructure, cooling systems, construction services, and other operational supplies.
  • Team Leadership & Development:

    • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing procurement team.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professionalism, and ethical conduct within the procurement function.
    • Provide guidance and training to team members on best practices in procurement, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:

    • Develop and implement robust supplier performance management programs, including scorecards and regular business reviews.
    • Negotiate complex contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
    • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity.
  • Cost Management & Budgeting:

    • Drive cost reduction initiatives across all procurement categories without compromising quality or service levels.
    • Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure budget adherence.
    • Prepare and manage the procurement budget, tracking expenditures and identifying areas for optimization.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:

    • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, local regulations, and international standards.
    • Identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Implement robust internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure ethical procurement practices.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Legal departments to understand their requirements and facilitate smooth procurement processes.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on all procurement-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree (MBA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Prior experience in the data center, IT infrastructure, telecommunications, or a related technology-intensive industry is a MUST.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic procurement initiatives that have resulted in significant cost savings and operational efficiencies.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, negotiation strategies, and supplier relationship management best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex procurement projects, including large-scale capital expenditures (CAPEX) for infrastructure development.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle, Coupa).
  • High level of integrity and strong ethical standards.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and spoken).
