The Role: This is a unique opportunity to function as a key strategic partner to the CEO's office, focusing on high-impact initiatives that will drive the company's next phase of growth. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of analytical rigor, entrepreneurial spirit, and a deep understanding of the consumer goods landscape. You will be responsible for a wide range of strategic projects, from ideation to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Business Development:
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, product categories, and business models to expand the company's footprint and revenue streams.
- Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and feasibility studies to support strategic decisions.
- Develop comprehensive business cases, financial models, and strategic plans for new ventures.
2. New Product & Category Development:
- Drive the end-to-end process of new product and category development, from initial concept to market launch.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (R&D, Marketing, Sales, Operations) to ensure alignment and successful execution.
- Analyze consumer trends and market gaps to innovate and bring new, compelling products to our portfolio.
3. Strategic Partnerships & Alliances:
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate new business partnerships and strategic alliances that complement our existing capabilities and open new avenues for growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential partners, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
- Represent the company in discussions with external parties, demonstrating a strong understanding of our vision and strategic goals.
4. CEO Office Support:
- Work on special projects and ad-hoc strategic assignments as directed by the CEO, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Prepare presentations and reports for executive leadership and board meetings.
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) for strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; an MBA is a significant plus.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a relevant role, such as Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy, Business Development, or a CEO Office function, preferably within the FMCG or distribution sector.
- Demonstrated experience in new business and/or product development.
- Proven track record of identifying and executing on new strategic partnerships.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Highly proactive, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
