About the Role
We are looking for a Legal Officer with commercial instinct and sound judgment to join our in-house Legal team. You will be expected to understand why each contract and legal instrument exists — what risk it allocates and what business interest it protects — and to apply that understanding to real, fast-moving transactions.
Wisesight operates as a SaaS and AI analytics group across multiple business units and subsidiaries. The pace is fast and the legal team is lean, so you will be given real ownership early. We need someone who ramps quickly, handles lower-risk matters independently, and knows when to escalate.
Key Responsibilities
1. Contract Review and Management
- Review and prepare commercial agreements (NDAs, service agreements, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, SOWs) using approved templates — while understanding which clauses are mandatory protections and why they matter
- Identify commercial and legal risk in contracts and flag it clearly.
- Maintain contract tracking, filing, and the contract registry
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather the information and business context needed to prepare and assess contracts
2. Legal Research and Advisory Support
- Conduct focused legal research on Thai law (corporate, commercial, labour, data protection) and translate findings into practical, business-usable conclusions
- Prepare internal memos and briefing notes that state the issue, the risk, and a recommended action.
3. Legal Operations and Document Management
- Maintain the legal document repository, contract database, and registries
- Organise corporate documents, licences, and regulatory filings
- Support the legal intake process and workflow tracking, helping triage incoming requests by risk
4. Corporate and Compliance Support
- Assist in preparing corporate documents, resolutions, and filings
- Support subsidiary and corporate governance matters
- Support PDPA and regulatory compliance documentation.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance, and Product to understand business objectives and deliver legal support that enables them
- Follow up on legal requests and drive them to timely completion
- Support the day-to-day operations of the legal team
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.)
- 1–2 years of relevant legal experience in an in-house legal team or law firm (corporate, commercial, or technology practice preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Critical thinking and issue-spotting
- Fast learner, comfortable operating with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Genuine working proficiency in both Thai and English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience in legal internship or in-house legal role
- Interest in corporate, commercial, or technology law
- Interest in startup or technology environment
- Basic understanding of contracts and legal documents
