Job Summary
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Tax Accountant to join our high-performing accounting team. This role is pivotal in managing end-to-end accounting and tax functions for Australian clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and superior service delivery.
The Senior Tax Accountant will lead financial reporting, tax compliance, and advisory functions while mentoring junior accountants and maintaining strong client relationships. You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial outcomes, supporting clients in achieving their business goals, and contributing to the firm's ongoing growth and excellence.

- Competitive salary: PHP 110,000 - 140,000 per month (depending on experience)

Core Responsibilities
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Australian public practice accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline (CPA/CA qualification preferred).
- Proven expertise in Australian Taxation Law, compliance frameworks, and accounting standards (AASB).
- Advanced proficiency with Xero and Xero Practice Manager (XPM).
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and mentor junior staff.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Taxation & Compliance
- Prepare, review, and lodge individual, company, partnership, trust, and SMSF tax returns in accordance with Australian Taxation Law.
- Manage and review Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) to ensure timely and accurate lodgement.
- Prepare and finalise Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and Taxable Payments Annual Reports (TPAR).
- Conduct EOFY working paper preparation, including reconciliations, tax planning summaries, and compliance documentation.
- Provide tax advisory and planning recommendations for clients to optimise outcomes while ensuring compliance.
- Stay up to date with current tax laws, ATO guidelines, and AASB standards, applying them effectively to client work.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSFs.
- Ensure all reporting adheres to Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective measures.
- Develop and review budget reports, cash flow statements, and management reports for strategic decision-making.
- Analyse client financial performance and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, delivering timely, proactive, and high-quality communication.
- Build long-term relationships through professionalism, trust, and responsiveness.
- Address client inquiries efficiently, offering expert guidance on taxation, compliance, and accounting issues.
- Collaborate with clients on financial process improvements and system efficiencies.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Review and quality-check the work of junior accountants, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm standards.
- Provide training, feedback, and mentorship to develop team capability.
- Support team performance reviews, helping identify growth areas and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to a positive team culture that values learning, accountability, and excellence.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Maintain 100% compliance with Australian tax and accounting standards.
- Ensure on-time lodgement of all BAS, IAS, and tax returns.
- Maintain a minimum client satisfaction rating of 95% or higher.
- Consistently improve the accuracy and efficiency of reviewed work.
- Actively participate in professional development and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
