The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Team Leader to oversee a portfolio of clients, and also mentor and lead a talented accounting team.
In this hybrid role, you'll oversee financial and tax compliance and contribute to strategic business planning. You'll play a hands-on part in delivering exceptional outcomes while shaping the firm's continued growth and team success.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary; $100,000 - 125,000 + super
- Hybrid flexibility: up to two days working from home and three days in our Milsons Point office
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide a team of accountants with guidance and technical advice, ensuring high performance, professional growth, and effective collaboration.
- Prepare, review, and delegate financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Oversee annual tax planning and provide specialised tax optimisation advice.
- Stay current with Australian tax laws and accounting standards, sharing insights and best practices with your team.
- Track and report on team performance metrics, ensuring targets are met and operational efficiency is maximised.
- Work with Senior Management to streamline processes and develop operational efficiencies.
About You
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on Australian taxation across all entity types.
- At least 2+ years as a manager or team leader.
- Advanced proficiency with Xero and other accounting software.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
