Position Summary:
As the Assistant Client Manager, you'll support the Senior Client Manager in managing client relationships, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring client satisfaction. This role combines client interaction, project coordination, and accounting responsibilities.
You'll assist in the preparation and review of financial statements; help manage a portfolio of clients and contribute to maintaining high service standards. You'll also play a part in mentoring junior team members, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the timely delivery of accurate financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Client Manager in managing and nurturing client relationships, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
- Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including financial data, correspondence, and project documentation.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to support seamless project delivery.
- Train and mentor junior accountants, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Monitor changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and share relevant updates with the team.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and service quality.
- Assist with onboarding new clients, including collecting documentation and setting up accounts.
- Help manage workflow scheduling to ensure effective task delegation and timely completion of deliverables.
What Were Looking For:
- 4+ years of experience in Australian public practice, with a focus on tax, financial reporting, and a strong command of tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Expert in Xero and other accounting tools, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results.
- Analytical and problem-solving wizard who thrives in fast-paced environments, managing multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities with ease.
- Exceptional communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and team members.
- Leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to guide, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
- Team player who is collaborative, dependable, and always eager to contribute to both client and team success.
