The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax and accounting services while mentoring junior team members and supporting client relationships.
This position is ideal for a technically strong public practice professional who enjoys both client-facing work and team leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex individual, company, partnership, and trust tax returns
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
- Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and regulatory requirements
- Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Manage the workflow for the team
- Assist with the provision of business advisory and coaching services for clients
About You
- CA qualification (preferred but not required)
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in Australian public practice
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax legislation and financial reporting standards
- Proficient in Xero, including Xero Tax
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple client portfolios
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability
- High level of professionalism and integrity
