About the Role
We're looking for a driven Senior Accountant with strong leadership capabilities to join our team. You'll lead a small team of professionals, provide technical oversight, and work closely with senior leadership to improve internal systems and drive client value.
- Lead and mentor a team, fostering collaboration and professional growth
- Assist senior managers in enhancing systems and improving workflow efficiency
- Oversee and review compliance deliverables such as financial statements and tax returns
- Manage annual tax planning and deliver tailored tax-saving strategies
- Review business advisory reports and contribute to clients' strategic planning
- Communicate complex accounting, taxation, and business matters clearly.
Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in public practice, specifically in tax and business advisory
- At least 2+ years in leadership, managerial, or supervisory capacity
- Strong track record in managing deadlines and client relationships
- High level of accuracy and analytical thinking
- Experience with a wide range of clients across industries
- Proficient in cloud-based accounting platforms, especially Xero
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
