Accounting Manager (Plastics Manufacturing)

Industry: Plastics Manufacturing
Location: Bang Bon, Bangkok.
Working Hours: 8:30-17:30 hrs. (Monday - Saturday)

Responsibilities:

• Cost Accounting:
  • Analyze and maintain accurate standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide insightful reports on cost discrepancies.
  • Develop and implement cost control measures to optimize production efficiency.
  • Manage inventory costing and reconciliation.
• Month-End and Year-End Closing:
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control procedures.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports for management, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing costs and profitability.
• Compliance and Regulatory Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting regulations and tax laws.
  • Manage and maintain documentation related to BOI (Board of Investment) incentives and compliance (if applicable).
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Maintain knowledge of ISO standards related to accounting and financial processes (if applicable).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• CPD is required.
• Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting Principles and manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience in managing month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Extensive experience with SAP system.
• Knowledge of BOI regulations and compliance (if applicable).
• Familiarity with ISO standards related to accounting and financial processes (if applicable).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
