Surface Finishing Technician - Consumer Goods Manufacturing

Responsibilities:

• Lead the application of surface coatings using manual and semi-automated methods (spraying, dipping, brushing)
• Perform advanced hand-finishing techniques to create special effects, textures, and correct coating imperfections
• Inspect products rigorously before final processing to ensure full coating coverage and quality standards are met
• Collaborate with production and design teams to innovate and test new coating formulations and decoration techniques
• Maintain and improve tools, equipment, and workspace to ensure efficient and clean production
• Mentor, train, and provide guidance to junior team members to build a skilled and reliable workforce
• Monitor workflow and production schedules to ensure timely delivery without compromising quality
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives related to surface finishing processes

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in surface finishing, glazing, coating, or decoration in manufacturing environments
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience is highly preferred
• Strong attention to detail with excellent manual skills for intricate finishing work
• Experience with specialty surface products or precision finishing is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively at all levels
• Proactive in problem-solving and committed to maintaining high-quality standards
