Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Create and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives
  • Partner with executive team on budget planning, performance metrics, and procurement initiatives
  • Research and analyze market conditions to identify opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks

Vendor Partnerships

  • Build and nurture relationships with suppliers to secure favorable terms and consistent service
  • Implement systematic supplier evaluation processes based on quality, cost, and reliability metrics
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and develop improvement plans with key vendors

Commercial Negotiations

  • Secure advantageous agreements through skilled negotiation of prices, terms, and conditions
  • Collaborate with legal and financial departments to finalize contractual arrangements
  • Ensure all purchasing agreements meet regulatory requirements and organizational standards

Operational Excellence

  • Direct daily purchasing workflows including order processing, tracking, and delivery coordination
  • Establish standardized procedures to enhance efficiency and maintain compliance
  • Implement process improvements to optimize the procurement function

Supply Management

  • Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Develop systems to prevent stockouts while minimizing excess inventory costs
  • Implement forecasting methodologies to anticipate supply needs accurately

Financial Stewardship

  • Analyze spending patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Develop and track metrics related to procurement performance and efficiency
  • Implement strategic initiatives to reduce expenses while maintaining quality standards

Team Development

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to procurement staff
  • Create a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement
  • Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback to enhance team performance

Governance & Compliance

  • Maintain adherence to purchasing policies and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with established procedures
  • Identify and address potential risk factors in the procurement process

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • University degree in supply chain management or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 10 years of manufacturing procurement experience

Technical Knowledge

  • International trade expertise
  • SAP proficiency
  • ISO9001 and ISO13485 familiarity
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
