Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard global and local suppliers for raw ingredients (grains, proteins, additives) and primary packaging materials.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, and supply contracts to ensure cost-efficiency without compromising material integrity.
- Build and maintain long-term partnerships with vendors, conducting regular performance audits and site visits.
- Monitor global commodity trends and market fluctuations to anticipate price changes and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Work closely with the R&D and Quality Assurance teams to ensure all sourced materials meet strict nutritional and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with the production planning team to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent manufacturing delays.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in direct procurement, preferably within the Pet Food, Food Manufacturing, or FMCG industries.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English (written and spoken). You must be comfortable negotiating and presenting to international stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Competencies: Strong analytical thinking, high ethical standards, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
