Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support for new product development, including pilot builds, audits, capability studies, drop tests, and documentation.
- Review production readiness and train inspectors during new production builds.
- Ensure life-testing stations are properly set up and maintained.
- Work directly with factories to review quality issues, audit production lines, and support PSI as needed.
- Lead weekly manufacturing reporting by training suppliers, supporting implementation, monitoring results, and using reports to identify issues.
- Support pre-shipment inspections and conduct quality conformance audits.
- Investigate returned products, perform tear-downs, and identify root causes.
- Issue and manage corrective action requests (CARs), review responses, and verify implementation and effectiveness.
- Drive manufacturing improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Handle special assignments related to factory or product quality issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering.
- 5-7 years experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Product Engineering.
- Knowledge of statistical tools
- Proficient in communication tools and technical software such as spreadsheets, databases, BI tools, QMS, and statistical programs.
- Strong communication skills for presenting issues and influencing suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to link manufacturing processes to defects and dig into true root causes.
- Fluent in English.
