1. Purpose
To encourage individuals to refer qualified candidates who may join Wokolako, fostering growth through trusted networks while maintaining fair and ethical hiring practices. We appreciate all genuine referrals, though no rewards are offered at present.
2. Eligibility
- Who Can Refer: Current Wokolako employees, contractors, or active talent pool members in good standing. Clients or external parties may participate if explicitly invited by Wokolako.
- Who Can Be Referred: Qualified candidates not currently in Wokolako's applicant database or previously rejected within the last 6 months. Self-referrals are prohibited.
- Exclusions: Referrers cannot refer immediate family members, close personal relations, or anyone where a conflict of interest exists (e.g., business partners). Wokolako reserves the right to disqualify referrals at its discretion.
3. Referral Process
- Submission: Referrers must submit referrals via the designated form on the Wokolako portal (or email to hr@wokolako.com if unavailable). Include the candidate's name, contact info, resume (with consent), and a brief explanation of why they fit.
- Consent Requirement: Obtain the candidate's permission before submitting. Note in the submission that you've done so.
- Tracking: Each referral gets a unique ID for tracking. Multiple referrals for the same candidate will credit only the first valid submission.
- Timeline: Referrals are valid for 6 months from submission. If the candidate applies independently later, it will not be treated as a referral.
4. Rewards
- Current Policy: No rewards, monetary or otherwise, are provided for referrals at this time. We are grateful for your contributions to building our team and will acknowledge successful referrals internally where appropriate.
- No Guarantee: Submission does not guarantee hiring—decisions are based on merit and company needs.
- Future Updates: This policy may evolve to include incentives as the program develops.
5. Anti-Abuse and Compliance
- Prohibited Actions: No fraudulent referrals (e.g., fake candidates, spam submissions, or attempts to game the system). Abuse may result in disqualification from the program or termination of employment/contract.
- Verification: Wokolako may verify referrals through background checks or candidate confirmation.
- Data Handling: Referral data is processed per our Privacy Policy (e.g., consent-based sharing, secure storage).
- Legal Compliance: All referrals must adhere to anti-discrimination laws (e.g., no bias in recommendations). The program complies with employment regulations in relevant jurisdictions.
- Disputes: Wokolako's decisions on referrals are final. Report concerns to hr@wokolako.com.
6. Changes to Terms
These Referral Terms and Conditions are subject to change. Any significant changes will be communicated to relevant parties (e.g., via email or portal updates) in accordance with applicable law.
