Position Overview
The Lead Construction Manager oversees all construction activities across the project site, ensuring safe, high-quality, and timely execution. This role leads a team of discipline/area Construction Managers and governs contractor performance, site coordination, and EHS compliance. The position is responsible for developing construction execution strategies and ensuring proper resourcing and progress monitoring. It also works closely with engineering, procurement, commissioning, and project management teams to ensure smooth construction turnover and mechanical completion.
Key Responsibilities

Lead all site construction activities and enforce site governance.

Manage a team of area/discipline Construction Managers.

Drive construction strategy development, sequencing, and resource planning.

Ensure strict adherence to EHS and quality standards.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, commissioning and PMO.

Oversee contractor performance, manpower planning, and daily execution.

Ensure timely preparation of CTOD for mechanical completion.

Review and approve construction schedules, method statements, and risk assessments.
Required Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.

10+ years of construction leadership experience.

Strong background in large-scale industrial/pharma projects.

Strong EHS governance and QA/QC experience.

Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary construction teams.
