About the job Remote Medical Scribe

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Scribe to support physicians remotely during live patient consultations. The Medical Scribe will be connected to doctors by phone/audio during appointments and will document patient notes in real time. The ideal candidate has excellent English communication skills, strong typing speed, and preferably a medical or nursing background.

Key Responsibilities

  • Remotely accompany physicians during patient consultations via phone/audio connection
  • Accurately document patient encounters, medical histories, assessments, treatment plans, and physician notes in real time
  • Prepare and update electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) efficiently and accurately
  • Identify and highlight follow-up questions, pending actions, and important patient concerns for physicians
  • Ensure all required clinical documentation and supporting information are completed properly
  • Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and clarity
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and healthcare privacy standards
  • Coordinate with physicians and healthcare staff to support smooth workflow and communication


Requirements

  • Strong English communication skills (C1 level or equivalent preferred)
  • Fast and accurate typing skills
  • Excellent listening comprehension and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and document in real time during live consultations
  • Prior experience as a Medical Scribe preferred
  • Medical background, RN/LPN, nursing student, or healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR/EHR systems is a plus
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely


Schedule (EST)

  • Monday – Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM


Work Setup

  • Fully remote position
  • Must be comfortable working live alongside physicians during patient visits
  • Quiet work environment required
