Job Summary

Our client in the Oil & Gas EPC sector is seeking to hire an experienced Lead Mechanical & Piping Engineer to oversee the design, engineering, and execution of mechanical and piping systems for oil and gas projects. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, ensure compliance with industry standards, manage engineering deliverables, and support projects from concept through construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, review, and approval of mechanical and piping engineering deliverables, including drawings, datasheets, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate mechanical and piping engineering activities across FEED, detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Review contractor and vendor designs to ensure compliance with client specifications, international codes, and project standards.
• Provide technical support by resolving engineering and construction challenges.
• Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor evaluations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Monitor engineering progress, maintain quality standards, and ensure compliance with HSE, QHSE, and company procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Requirements

• B.Eng./B.Sc./HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in mechanical and piping engineering within the Oil & Gas EPC industry, including engineering design, construction, and commissioning.
• At least 3 years' experience in a Lead or Senior Mechanical/Piping Engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of piping design, mechanical systems, international engineering codes, and EPC project execution.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering design software.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• COREN/NSE registration or other relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
