About the Role
Our client in the FMCG sector is seeking a highly skilled HR & Legal Manager to oversee the human resources function while ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, employment law, and corporate compliance, with the ability to balance people management and legal advisory responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management
* Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and strategies aligned with business goals.
* Manage the end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and talent development process.
* Oversee performance management, training, and employee engagement initiatives.
* Drive employee relations and conflict resolution in compliance with labor laws.
* Manage payroll, benefits administration, and other HR operations.

Legal & Compliance
* Provide legal advisory support to management on business operations, contracts, and corporate governance.
* Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
* Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
* Manage disputes, litigation, and liaise with external legal counsel where necessary.
* Maintain updated knowledge of employment law and regulations impacting the FMCG industry.


Qualifications & Requirements
* Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) and call to the Nigerian Bar (BL) is required.
* 5 10 years of combined HR and legal experience, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing, HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM) is an advantage.
* Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws, corporate governance, and compliance.
* Proven track record in HR strategy, employee relations, and legal advisory.
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
