About the Role:

Researching and developing a branding strategy for the Event. Works with the graphic designers on a big picture view of the Moot. Work with the External Relations Department to liaise with external bodies such as national newspapers/media, local councils and community members, government members, and promotional organizations such as Fáilte Ireland. Maximizing all opportunity for positive PR for the Moot & Scouting Ireland

  • Familiarizing scouts, guides and non-scouts with the Moot brand and increasing the awareness and understanding of what Moot is  
  • Ensure we have a clear communicable message  
  • Communicates what is unique about the Moot as opposed to WSJ or Roverway 
  • Works with internal and external media to communicate the Moot brand  
  • Liaises with external stakeholder management to create partnerships and sponsorship opportunities 
  • Works closely with Bulletins & Publications Team Lead and various team leads

  • Connections within print/ online media  
  • Team player – will be working with various other parts of the comms team  
  • Organised and deadline focused 

Terms of Appointment:
This is a voluntary unremunerated role. However, reasonable expenses in line with the Scouting Ireland & World Organisation of the Scout Movement (whichever is the most relevant) expenses policies will be paid.
