Job Summary: A Java Integration Lead in an OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) environment focusing on hospitality uses Spring Boot and microservices architecture to manage and build integrations with hospitality systems like OPERA PMS. The ideal candidate will lead technical design, development, and integration initiatives while ensuring high-quality delivery and system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead technical design and development of scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

Architect and implement integrations between the core hospitality platform (OPERA) and third-party vendors or systems using REST APIs, messaging queues (like Kafka or RabbitMQ), and other protocols.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, architects, and DevOps to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.

Manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from design and development to testing and production deployment within an Agile methodology.

Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and best practice guidance to the development team.

Ensure data consistency, security, scalability, and fault tolerance across all integrated systems, leveraging OCI's cloud-native features.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Support deployment, testing, and production release activities.

Required Skills & Experience:

Programming Languages: Expert proficiency in Java (8+) and related frameworks.

Microservices & Frameworks: Strong expertise in building and deploying microservices with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.

Cloud Platforms: Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), including containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.

Integration Technologies: Hands-on experience with API integration, RESTful and SOAP web services, and asynchronous communication mechanisms like Kafka.

Databases: Proficiency in SQL, relational databases (e.g., Oracle PL/SQL)

Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI), version control (Git), and code quality tools -Sonar Qube

Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in hospitality domain projects.

OCI certifications or other cloud-related certifications.
