Job description
We are looking for a skilled Podcast Editor to join our team and help produce high-quality audio content. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and passionate about delivering a polished listening experience.
Responsibilities
- Edit raw audio recordings by removing background noise, mistakes, filler words, and long pauses.
- Balance and enhance audio levels across hosts, guests, music, and ads.
 Insert intro/outro music, advertisements, and sound effects as needed.
- Ensure audio consistency and professional mastering (LUFS standards).
 Organize, export, and deliver final MP3/WAV files with correct metadata.
- (Optional) Upload and schedule episodes on podcast hosting platforms (e.g., Buzzsprout, Libsyn, Podbean).
- (Optional) Assist with creating promotional assets such as audiograms, short video clips, or reels for social media.
- Collaborate with hosts, producers, and virtual assistants to ensure timely delivery of episodes.
- Stay updated with the latest tools, trends, and best practices in podcast production.
Requirements
- Proficiency with audio editing software (Audacity, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Reaper, or similar).
- Strong understanding of EQ, compression, noise reduction, and audio mastering.
- Ability to edit for clarity, flow, and pacing while maintaining a natural conversation style.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred
- Experience in video podcast editing (YouTube, reels, TikTok clips).
- Familiarity with podcast hosting platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Buzzsprout, etc.).
- Knowledge of social media marketing for podcasts.
Working hours
- Work full time on US time zone.
- Ability to work remotely.
Compensation
- $800 - $1500 per month (final amount based on evaluation during the interview and clients confirmation) Compensation will be provided in US Dollars.
