Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our talented team. As a Registered Nurse (RN) at WTCP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes. • The location is in Fairbanks, Alaska
• The working schedule for this role is 3 x 12 hours, nights
• The duration is as a contactor for 13 weeks
• The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
• Holiday requirements are as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe 
• Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members 
• Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers
• Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy

Qualifications:

• Current and unencumbered RN state licensure
• 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the appropriate unit for this role
• BLS/BCLS, ACLS certification (PALS preferred)
  
• Bachelor degree in nursing preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff
  
• Basic computer skills
• Professional, friendly attitude
