As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team.

Position Overview:
The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and robust data pipelines and architectures that support our analytics and data-driven decision-making capabilities. You will play a crucial role in enabling our teams to access and leverage data efficiently, driving insights and innovations that enhance our user experience and operational excellence.

This is a full time contractor position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
  • Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
  • Develop set processes for obtaining data, data modeling, and data production.
  • Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency with data manipulation languages, including SQL and Python.
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools, specifically Airflow.
  • Proficiency in working with AWS cloud services (EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift) and understanding of the AWS data ecosystem.
  • Experience with distributed data/computing tools like Trino (formerly Presto) for large-scale data querying.
  • Familiarity with BI tools and data visualization, particularly Looker, for analytics and reporting.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
