About the job Materials Superintendent
Your work will include, but not be limited to:

Ensure all trucks are unloaded per shift and put away has been completed

Initiates material expedites to protect production capabilities as required and fill out PTA authorization form

Completes daily FIFO reviews in WMS system to ensure correct method is utilized
-
Hold employee roundtable meetings between shifts for strong shift to shift communication
-
Complete warehouse cycle counts for inventory control as needed
-
Complete daily safety/5S walks and address any non-conformances for the shifts
-
Covers coaches for vacations and time out of plant to take employees for testing
-
Complete deep dive investigations into accidents and report out the findings to the team
-
Ensure all COGI errors are completed for each shift
-
Activate GRC scanning IDs through the security system
-
Verify receiving and shipping logs are always up to date
-
Ensure dock layout is correctly maintained for inventory flow issues
-
Check shipping floats and advise leadership team and GM if any issues arise
-
Assist in other material operations as needed to cover vacations
-
Participate in at least one kaizen even through the year through completion
-
Rollout any SWI changes to the team leaders and members as needed
-
Maintain constant seat availability at customer plant and float levels within plant from sub assembly modules
-
Advise Lear Management of all irregularities at customer plant i.e., production down time, short hours, line
overtime, late trucks, float, etc.

Assist with expedite of customer repair seat orders with Lear Production, Materials, IT and Quality. Ensure the
replacement seat log is maintained for inventory accuracy

Lead for AGV troubleshooting and corrective actions
-
Track and review service work orders to reduce costs
-
Update warehouse metrics for WMS for all part changes and maximize warehouse space
-
Update bulk replenishment system for all part changes
-
Setup and review team members rotation schedules with team leaders
-
Hold daily cross shift meetings with team leaders to go through issues and root cause
-
Complete lunch & learns with team members monthly
-
Attend all marketplace meetings and report out any material issues to the team
Your Qualifications:
-
Bachelors Degree in related field or 3-4 years of directly applicable experience in a manufacturing operation
-
Proven experience leading a team
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and
external customers
-
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook)
-
Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
