We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Functional Safety Manager or Expert to join our cutting-edge automotive projects. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicle-level safety and reliability for one of our key automotive clients.

You will lead the development, analysis, and validation of functional safety concepts at the vehicle level, while also managing collaboration with suppliers and supporting cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle.

In this position you are responsible for :

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor all functional safety activities at the vehicle level.
• Define vehicle-level functional and technical safety concepts in accordance with ISO 26262 or equivalent standards.
• Support supplier management related to safety-critical components.
• Provide guidance and expertise to the Verification & Validation (V&V) team to ensure safety requirements are thoroughly verified.
• Manage the development of the vehicle safety case and contribute to vehicle homologation activities.
• Continuously improve safety processes, methods, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in functional safety within the automotive industry (Tier 1 or OEM).
• Deep knowledge of ISO 26262 and/or other safety standards such as EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, EN 50159.
• Strong command of safety analysis methods (e.g., HAZOP, HARA, FMEA, FTA).
• Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent analytical and synthesis capabilities.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to relocate to Belgium.
