Role Overview

Our client is a well-reputed apparel manufacturer & exporter currently preparing for an international IPO and its long-term evolution into a publicly listed global manufacturing and supply chain platform. The Group CFO - Capital Markets & Investor Strategy will lead the Groups capital markets journey, shape how the business is understood by investors, and establish long-term credibility with public and private capital providers. This is not a traditional accounting-led CFO role; rather, it is focused on capital markets strategy, investor engagement, financial insight, and Board-level advisory, supported by strong technical accounting capability already exists within the Group.

Key Mandate

IPO & Capital Markets Leadership

  • Lead the financial strategy and execution of the Groups IPO.
  • Develop and clearly present the financial case for the business, including forecasts, valuation logic, and growth assumptions.
  • Lead financial engagement with investment banks, advisors, and cornerstone investors, including the existing Private Equity Shareholder.
  • Oversee IPO financial modelling, scenario planning, and preparation of all financial disclosures.

Investor Stewardship - Pre & Post IPO

  • Act as the primary financial interface between Q Collection and the investment community before, during, and after listing.
  • Lead market-facing financial communication including results positioning, earnings narrative, and analyst engagement.
  • Establish and lead a professional investor relations function aligned with public market expectations.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with institutional investors and strategic shareholders.

Financial Narrative & Market Positioning

  • Convert the Groups operational results, sustainability performance, and business model economics into a clear, data-backed investment story that explains how the business creates value and why it is attractive to long-term investors.
  • Ensure investor materials clearly explain performance drivers, margin structure, capital efficiency, and growth visibility.
  • Work closely with Chairman, Group CEO, and Board to ensure consistent and credible market messaging.
  • Equip leadership with clear, defensible financial positioning for investor scrutiny, roadshows, and public market engagement.

Strategic Financial Advisory

  • Advise the Board and Executive leadership on:
    - Capital structure
    - Funding strategy
    - Capital allocation priorities
    - Long-term shareholder value creation
    - Provide forward-looking financial insight, valuation sensitivity analysis, and downside risk visibility.

Public Company Discipline & Disclosure Oversight

  • Set the standard for public-market disclosure quality, consistency, and credibility.
  • Ensure financial disclosures align with investor expectations and valuation positioning.
  • Work with operational finance leadership to ensure reported numbers and market messaging are fully aligned.
  • Collaborate closely with Group CEO and CPSO to ensure compliance with global standards, external audit requirements, and QIPO documentation relating to compensation governance.
  • Build analytics-driven dashboards and reporting mechanisms to monitor compensation trends, cost impact, and internal equity across the Group

Scope Clarification

This role does not carry primary responsibility for day-to-day accounting operations, treasury execution, routine financial reporting production, or core accounting policy execution. These areas are managed by established and capable finance leadership teams within the Group, allowing the role to focus on IPO execution, transformation, and public-company readiness.

Candidate Profile

 Essential

  • Senior finance leadership experience with strong capital markets or investor exposure.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial performance clearly and credibly to investors, board, and market stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical capability combined with commercial judgement.
  • Proven credibility operating at Board and investor level.

Highly Desirable 

  • IPO or major capital markets transaction experience.
  • Experience working with institutional investors or listed company environments.
  • Experience operating in global, multi-country business structures.

Leadership & Capability Profile 

  • CFO-level leadership with Board and investor exposure; typically 15–20+ years of progressive experience.
  • Hands-on capital markets experience, including IPO execution, major public-market transactions, and, importantly, post-IPO lifecycle management.
  • Proven leadership of investor-facing financial communication, including equity story development, valuation logic, and performance narratives.
  • Strong track record managing investment banks, advisors, auditors, and legal counsel on complex transactions.
  • Ability to translate complex financial and operational performance into clear, credible market messaging.
  • Experience operating within large, multi-country, and organizationally complex environments.
