Job title: UGC & Influencer Marketing Manager
Job Overview
YAMU Media is looking for a UGC & Influencer Marketing Manager to own and scale our User Generated Content function across multiple client accounts.
This is not a coordinator role. You are the person who builds a complete creator ecosystem from scratch, develops UGC strategy per client, manages creator relationships at scale, and drives performance through content that actually converts. You will work closely with account managers and paid media strategists to ensure UGC is aligned with broader campaign strategy and delivering measurable results.
You will use modern outreach tools and technology to recruit creators at volume without sacrificing quality. You own the pipeline end to end — from first outreach to whitelisting and usage rights — and you measure your success by what the content does in the ads, not by how many creators you signed.
As the function grows, you will define the processes, workflows, and standards that a future UGC team will be built on.
Key Responsibilities
Own the complete creator and influencer pipeline across multiple client accounts — recruiting creators, micro-influencers, and influencers independently
Use modern outreach tools and technology to source and recruit creators at scale, building pipelines faster than manual methods allow
Negotiate partnerships, manage contracts, handle usage rights, and manage whitelisting across all active creator relationships
Write creative briefs and distribute scripts and brand assets to creators — giving enough direction without killing authenticity
Manage campaign execution end to end: briefing, content review, feedback, revisions, and approval
Join internal marketing strategy calls and sync regularly with account managers and paid media strategists to ensure UGC creative is aligned with what is running in paid channels
Track performance at the asset level: ad spend per video, attributed revenue, and ROAS — not just views and engagement
Use performance data to inform creator selection, brief direction, and content strategy across each account
Identify which clients are the right fit for UGC investment and make recommendations based on data
Build and maintain an organized creator database that someone else could pick up and use without losing context
Document processes and workflows with the assumption that a team will eventually be built on top of them
Requirements
Minimum 2 years managing UGC programs, with at least one example of building a program from scratch
Has sourced, negotiated, and contracted creators independently without a talent agency
Has written UGC briefs that were used in paid media ads — briefs will be reviewed as part of the hiring process
Active experience with Meta Ads Manager — can read ad performance data and connect it back to specific creatives
Has used Meta Creator Marketplace for sourcing
Familiar with UGC platforms such as Trybe, Billo, Insense, #paid, or Archive
Has used modern outreach tools and technology to recruit creators at scale
Can report on UGC performance using actual metrics: ad spend per video, attributed revenue, ROAS — not just views and engagement
Has worked across at least 4 client accounts simultaneously in an agency or freelance setting
Has worked at a company under 50 people — startup or small agency experience required
Strong written English — briefs, creator outreach, and client updates will be reviewed as part of the hiring process
Bonus Skills:
Experience managing whitelisting campaigns and usage rights across platforms
Familiarity with SMS or email integration for creator outreach at scale
Experience briefing creators for performance-first content on TikTok and Instagram Reels
Basic video editing or content review skills to give specific, actionable feedback to creators
Your Attributes
You have built things from scratch in environments where nobody handed you a process. You figured it out, documented it, and made it repeatable. When something is unclear, you do not wait for direction, you make a decision, communicate it, and adjust if needed.
You think about UGC the way a performance marketer does. You do not measure success by how many creators you signed or how much content you produced. You measure it by what the content did in the ads. You know which hooks are working, why a video with 200K views might still be a poor performer for a brand, and how to brief a creator differently when ROAS is not hitting.
You treat creators like partners, not vendors. You respond quickly, give clear feedback, and follow through on what you say you will do. You understand that a creator who had a good experience with you will prioritize your briefs over someone paying them more. You also know when a creator relationship is not working and you end it cleanly.
You are comfortable being the only person in the room who understands UGC. You can explain performance data to a client, walk a paid media strategist through why a certain creative angle is worth testing, and push back on an account manager when the timeline is not realistic.
You are already thinking about what this function looks like with three people in it, even though right now it is just you. You build with that in mind, your processes are documented, your creator database is organized, your reporting is clean enough that someone else could pick it up tomorrow.
