Job Title: Video Editor
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly creative and versatile Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling, a strong design sense, and the ability to create compelling graphics and video content that align with our clients brand and objectives. This role requires someone who can understand and interpret clients' needs, conduct industry research, analyze creative performance from ad platforms like Google, Meta, and TikTok, and transform ideas and problems into visually stunning products.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed onboarding meetings with stakeholders to fully understand their brand, vision, and specific project requirements. This includes gathering information on their target audience, goals, and any existing brand guidelines.
Translate clients' ideas into visual products that effectively communicate their message and meet their goals. This includes creating initial concepts and prototypes for client review.
Present design and video concepts to clients and gather feedback. Manage revisions and refinements based on client input to ensure the final product aligns with their vision and expectations.
Import, organize, and edit raw footage using video editing software such as DaVinci Resolve and CapCut. Incorporate motion graphics, animations, and special effects to enhance the storytelling
Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular updates, manage expectations, and address any concerns or questions promptly
Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely and consistent delivery of visual content across all platforms.
Conduct thorough research on the clients industry, competitors, and current market trends to provide informed and strategic creative solutions. Stay updated on industry trends to suggest innovative ideas.
Ensure professionalism in all aspects of the role, including delivering high-quality work, maintaining clear and concise communication with clients and team members, and conducting oneself with integrity.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new platform features, proactively incorporating them into strategies and campaigns as appropriate.
Prepare and present detailed reports on campaign performance, including insights, action items, and KPIs, to both internal and external stakeholders, with a focus on clarity and actionable recommendations.
Continuously analyze campaign data to optimize performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop innovative solutions to drive results.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure clarity and alignment on project goals and deliverables.
Source User Generated Content (UGC) from reputable content creators using a variety of different platforms
Requirements:
4-5 years of experience in graphic design and video creation, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Experience working with different brands in the marketing industry.
Proficiency in graphic design software (Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator) and video editing software (DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Premiere Pro).
Good sense of AI generators and knowledge of current trends in AI in the creative industry.
Preferred experience with Figma.
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Multimedia, or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
Understanding of marketing trends and needs; doesn't need to be 100% technically strong but must grasp the marketing aspect.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
You must be keeping up with the changes in approach and strategy to media buying and must be following influencers in the space to be at the front lines of new strategies and innovative ideas.
You must be able to confidently speak to clients, manage expectations, and contain the social skills necessary to transfer your confidence into them.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity, professionalism, and persuasiveness.

Salary: Starting at $1,800 per month (negotiable based on experience) with a 3-month trial period. Salaries at YAMU are uncapped and are periodically reviewed and increased based on performance and market conditions.
After six months of employment, you will be eligible for commission , adding an additional layer of financial growth and reward.
