Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory & Advisory Support
- Provide legal research and analysis on Indonesian laws and regulations, including corporate, commercial, employment, licensing, and sector-specific regulations.
- Support client engagements requiring regulatory interpretation and compliance assessments.
- Assist in preparing legal opinions, regulatory memoranda, and advisory reports for clients.
- Monitor regulatory developments in Indonesia and provide updates to internal teams and clients.
2. Corporate & Commercial Matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts (e.g., service agreements, NDAs, partnership agreements, vendor agreements).
- Support corporate structuring, company incorporation, licensing, and compliance matters.
- Assist with due diligence exercises for transactions and investment projects.
- Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and government authorities where necessary.
3. Regional & Cross-Border Coordination
- Support cross-border projects involving multiple SEA jurisdictions.
- Coordinate with regional teams to ensure consistency in legal and regulatory positioning.
- Assist in harmonizing templates, risk frameworks, and compliance processes across the region.
4. Internal Governance & Risk
- Support internal compliance, risk management, and governance processes.
- Maintain legal documentation and ensure adherence to firm policies.
- Contribute to the development of internal legal templates and best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (S.H.) from a reputable university
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant legal experience (preferably in-house).
- Strong understanding of Indonesian corporate and commercial law.
- Experience in regulatory advisory, compliance, or transactional support preferred.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and spoken).
- Strong drafting, analytical, and research skills.
- Commercially aware with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
