About the job Therapist
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Therapist to join our treatment team. The Therapist will be responsible for providing individual, group, and family therapy services to clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. The ideal candidate will be a registered intern with a masters degree in mental health counseling, social work, or a related field, and will bring prior experience in behavioral health treatment. Experience in an outpatient or PHP/IOP setting is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions with clients.
- Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Communicate with families and referral sources regarding client progress when appropriate.
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and clinical supervision.
- Stay current with evidence-based practices and continuing education relevant to dual-diagnosis treatment.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Registered intern status (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT track, or equivalent).
- Previous experience working in behavioral health treatment required.
- Outpatient or PHP/IOP experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong skills in group facilitation, individual counseling, and documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
