Business Unit Director of Land-Based Energy Systems

Our partner is a top-performing energy solutions company in the heart of the Netherlands, specializing in the advancement of solar energy systems for over a decade. The company enhances energy management through innovative battery systems, solar panels, and comprehensive energy management solutions. Our partner designs, develops, builds and provides aftercare for solar parks, rooftops, solar greenhouses, and solar carports. They also have innovative solutions for energy management, sun on the water, charging poles, hydrogen energy storage, etc. In light of their international expansion goals across the Benelux countries, France, Germany, and Scandinavia, the company is looking for a Director to lead the Ground-Based Systems Business Unit.

The Director will be responsible for overseeing the Tender Management Team (4 members), the Project Management Team (8 members), and the Asset Management Team (2 members). The primary goal is to professionalize and manage the international growth from 100 to 200 million EUR over the next 3-5 years. The Director will be a key member of the Management Team, which also includes the General, Finance, Technical, Commercial, and Director of Rooftop Systems.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations:

• Coaching and managing team members to develop their skills to the next level.
• Professionalizing tendering, project, and asset management processes.
• Establishing and managing a management system for projects and asset management contracts beyond the Benelux.
• Ensuring sales and profit targets are met.
• Serving as the senior and operational point of contact for clients.

About you:

• Extensive experience in related project-oriented business sectors (Oil and Gas/ Renewable Energy/ Infrastructure).
• Experience in Operations, Project, Process, Change, and People Management.
• Technical background is essential.
• Entrepreneurial and business-minded.
• Proven international track record.
• Team player.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Certification in Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Management for Contractors or willingness to obtain it.
