About the Role We're looking for a sharp, proactive Account Manager to lead a portfolio of client accounts. You'll be the primary point of contact for your clients and the operational lead of a small pod — directing an Email Designer and a Klaviyo Technician to deliver great work on time, every time.
You set the strategy, manage the calendar, write the copy, and own client performance and retention. You bring structure, energy, and accountability to everything you touch.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management
- Primary point of contact for 6-8 e-commerce email marketing accounts
- Lead onboarding calls, monthly strategy calls, and regular client check-ins
- Own client retention through proactive communication and consistent results
Strategy & Campaign Planning
- Build and maintain monthly campaign calendars aligned with promotions, launches, and key retail dates
- Develop email flow strategies (welcome, abandonment, post-purchase, win-back, etc.)
- Identify growth opportunities — segmentation, A/B testing, lifecycle gaps
- Lead quarterly performance reviews with clear insights and next steps
Copywriting
- Write campaign and flow copy across your accounts — subject lines, preview text, and email body
- Know what high-performing e-commerce copy looks like and what doesn't
- Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) to accelerate output — prompt effectively, refine drafts, and maintain brand voice
- Develop original angles, offers, and concepts independently
- Lead copy-driven A/B tests and interpret results to drive ongoing optimization
Pod Leadership & Execution
- Brief and direct the Email Designer and Klaviyo Technician — clear briefs, clean handoffs, high standards
- The Klaviyo Technician handles platform execution; you own strategy, copy, and final QA
- Keep the production pipeline running smoothly from brief to send
Reporting & Performance
- Track core email metrics across all accounts and deliver regular client reports
- Use data to guide testing decisions and demonstrate ROI
Requirements
- 2–4 years of Account Management experience at an e-commerce email marketing agency
- Strong copywriting ability — you can write compelling email copy and know how to improve underperforming campaigns
- Comfortable using AI tools as part of your copy workflow (prompting, refining, elevating output)
- Solid understanding of Klaviyo — flows, segmentation, campaign logic — enough to brief a technician and QA their work
- Able to manage multiple accounts simultaneously without dropping the ball
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Experience working with designers and technicians in a collaborative pod or team setup
- Familiar with project management tools (Asana, Notion, or similar)

- Deliverables go out on time with no dropped balls
- Copy is sharp and performance improves quarter-over-quarter
- Accounts grow, not churn
- The pod runs smoothly with minimal founder involvement
Compensation & Structure
Full-time, fully remote, EST hours
Base: $3,800 – $4,500/month USD depending on experience
