They specialize in purchasing a wide range of diabetes-related items, including test strips, continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), and insulin pump supplies. With a focus on all major brands such as Freestyle, OneTouch, Dexcom, and Medtronic they ensure competitive pricing and reliable service for every transaction.

Role Overview

Lead Purchasing Manager will oversee the company's purchasing operations and ensure that teams consistently execute high-quality negotiations that convert conversations into completed deals.

This role is both strategic and hands-on, responsible for leading Team Leads, maintaining operational accountability, and continuously improving negotiation performance across the purchasing teams.

The ideal candidate is sharp, proactive, and hungry, with strong negotiation instincts and the ability to coach others to close more deals.

Team Structure

The Lead Purchasing Manager will oversee a structured operations team:

  • 5 Team Leads reporting directly to this role

  • Each Team Lead manages 4 Purchasing Agents

Team Leads are responsible for training agents daily and managing execution. The Lead  ensures accountability, performance, and results across all teams.

This role reports directly to the founder/CEO.


Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor Team Leads responsible for purchasing agents

  • Ensure teams remain accountable for daily performance and execution

  • Support Team Leads with coaching, problem-solving, and operational guidance

  • Monitor purchasing conversations and negotiation quality

  • Ensure agents communicate effectively with:

    • Individuals selling diabetic supplies

    • Small wholesalers and resellers

Maintain a casual but professional negotiation style suited to everyday sellers. 

Performance Management

  • Track team productivity, deal volume, and response times

  • Ensure fast reply rates and effective negotiation strategies

  • Identify underperforming agents and support Team Leads with improvement plans


Training & Coaching

  • Participate in daily training sessions focused on purchasing and negotiation

  • Provide guidance on improving conversations and closing more deals

  • Ensure agents follow the company's purchasing framework and standards


Operational Execution

  • Work closely with the operations system handling:

    • Facebook Ads leads

    • Facebook Marketplace conversations

    • Customer relationship management

    • Local driver coordination

  • Continuously improve workflows and team effectiveness

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Scrappy and operationally sharp

  • Comfortable working in high-volume, fast-moving environments

  • Skilled in practical negotiation, not corporate-style procurement

  • Able to lead teams while staying close to execution

  • Hungry to grow and improve systems every day

Preferred Experience

  • Experience managing sales, acquisition, or purchasing teams

  • Background in marketplace sales, lead negotiation, or deal sourcing

  • Experience leading team leads or supervisors

  • Experience working in SMBs or startup environments (not overly corporate)

Offer

  • Base Salary: $3,000 – $4,000 per month

  • Performance Bonus: Monthly bonus based on KPIs 

    and team performance
  • Full-time, remote, 9-5 EST
