Description

Zaka is currently seeking a Wordpress/Web Development intern to join our technical team. This internship will include developing a new wordpress site, implementing designs and technical changes. The candidate should have a strong understanding of Wordpress when using the platform and while fixing performance issues.

Location: Remote
Start Date: Immediate
Terms of Hire: 3 to 6 months 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Wordpress and theme optimization

• Integrating and modifying  plugins

• Establishing the website architecture

• Analyzing the performance of an existing Wordpress Site

• Responsible for website integration with measurement and monitoring tools

• Coordinate finalized solution with Project Lead

• Complete projects while ensuring that the solutions meet all company standards and receive final approval 

Qualifications

• Experience required: 0 to 2 years

• Bachelor's Degree in related field: Engineering, Computer Science

• Proven experience in web programming (preferably Wordpress)

• Good understanding of front-end and back-end technologies

• Willingness to learn and take on new development challenges

• Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process

• Ability to take ownership of work, including asking for support when needed

• Ability to work in an environment with ambiguous and changing requirements

• Ability to communicate and collaborate on diverse teams across skill levels and subject knowledge
• Ability to adapt and manage tasks efficiently
