Full Stack Software Engineer - Ruby on Rails / Remote LATAM

Hi! At Zarego, we are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team. If you enjoy building robust web applications, this could be a great fit:

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of experience working with Ruby.
• Solid experience building and maintaining backend applications using Ruby on Rails. 
• Experience with React and modern JavaScript for frontend development. 
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and integrating them with frontend applications. 
• Experience working with relational databases.
• Familiarity with testing practices. 
• Experience working with Git and collaborating in team environments. 
• Understanding of web application architecture, scalability, and performance considerations. 
• Strong communication skills. 
• Interest in staying up to date with new technologies and development practices. 
• Advanced English proficiency (C1–C2). 
• Based in Latin America.

Nice to have: 

• Experience experimenting with AI tools or AI-assisted development workflows. 
• Spanish proficiency (intermediate level or higher). 
• Educational background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
