About Us: We are a rapidly growing diesel repair shop based in San Marcos, TX, specializing in servicing a wide range of vehicles and equipment, from medium-duty private diesels to semi-trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. Our team prides itself on delivering top-tier service, and we're looking for two motivated, skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanics to join our crew.

Job Description:As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic, youll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, trucks, trailers, and equipment at customer locations. This is a 1099 contractor position with flexible hours, competitive pay, and opportunities for commission based on business you bring into the shop. You'll have the option to work with or without your own truck, with each arrangement offering unique earning potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site maintenance, diagnostic work, and repairs on diesel engines, semi-trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Provide high-quality, timely mobile services at customer locations.
• Identify additional repair opportunities and bring business into the shop, earning commissions.
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation of work performed.
• Ensure the mobile unit is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• Stay current on diesel technology and best repair practices.
• Collaborate with the shop team to maintain consistent service standards.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Mechanic Without Own Truck: $35/hour (1099 contractor).
• Mechanic With Own Truck: 100% commission on work performed, with us providing all business. Mechanic retains 65-75% in commissions. We cover the cost of parts, paperwork, and payment collection.

• Home Every Night: While on-call 24/7, you will return home each night.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of diesel mechanic experience, with expertise in semi-trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must have your own tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASE certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Experience with diagnostic software and tools.
• Mechanics with their own trucks preferred; however, support is available for those looking to purchase their own.
