Material Handler

Position Overview

Material handlers work on the shipping and receiving team and are responsible for unloading van trailers and dumping the contents into the raw product room. This requires skill, hard work, and teamwork.

Core Responsibilities

• Move heavy totes
• Assist forklifts and tipper trucks
• Operate a fork truck
• Unload pallets, totes, and gaylords from van trailers
• Dump food material
• Use a scale to weigh off landfill material
• Complete paperwork
• Complete other tasks as directed by managers and the Plant Manager

Time Expectations

• Material handlers generally work from 6:00am - 2:00pm Monday through Friday. However, there may be times when the workload is heavier.

Compensation

• $16/hour
• After a 3-month introductory period, monthly bonuses based on demonstration of Zutat's values
