We are seeking an experienced Manager, IT Governance to oversee IT governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk management initiatives. This role will work closely with IT leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure that technology operations align with regulatory standards, organisational policies, and strategic business objectives.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage overall IT governance to ensure compliance with internal IT policies, processes, and operational procedures
• Ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks such as Securities Commission Technology Risk Management (SC TRM) and Bank Negara Malaysia Risk Management in Technology (RMiT) guidelines
• Develop and implement IT governance frameworks including processes for Incident, Change, Problem, and Knowledge Management aligned with industry standards such as COBIT and ITIL
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and business units to address IT risk mitigation and compliance initiatives
• Conduct periodic gap analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of IT compliance and governance practices
• Act as the focal point for IT internal and external audits, coordinating with auditors and tracking remediation plans for audit findings
• Monitor IT systems to ensure data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance
• Identify, assess, and manage IT operational risks while implementing controls to mitigate risks and support business continuity
• Lead Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and IT Disaster Recovery (DR) initiatives with IT management and key stakeholders
• Facilitate IT governance awareness programs and training sessions for employees
• Provide governance advisory during technology selection, system customization, and new IT initiatives
• Monitor and report on IT operational performance, including KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives
• Stay updated on emerging technology trends and incorporate governance best practices into internal policies and frameworks
• Support IT management on governance-related projects and ad-hoc initiatives

What You Bring

Must-have:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in IT Governance, IT Risk Management, or Information Security
• Experience working within the financial services or banking industry (investment banking exposure is an advantage)
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as SC TRM, BNM RMiT, and ISO27001 ISMS standards
• Experience implementing IT governance frameworks and managing IT compliance programs
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prepare and deliver presentations for senior management and executive stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools

Nice-to-have:

• Professional certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, CISM, PMP, PRINCE2, or related governance certifications
• Experience conducting IT risk assessments and governance audits
• Knowledge of IT service management and governance frameworks
